INTRODUCTION:
In this experiment we are going to talk about what is a schlenk tube, how to prepare it and for what we could use it. A schlenk tube is a laboratory equipment of glass consisting of a tube designed for the extraction of air to leave an inert gas or vacuum before introducing the chemicals.

What a Schlenck tube can be used for?
· Working with a vacuum line
· Working with chemicals under a “nitrogen atmosphere” when chemicals are v. reactive
· Investigating properties of gasses

PROCEDURE:
- We get the schlenk tube, and smear vaseline, in order to make the parts move easily.
- Then, you swap up an elastic band around the schlenk tube, following the instructions of the video, so that it doesn’t move.
- After you get a stopper and you put it at the top of the schlenk tube to close it.
- To make it more secure, take another elastic band and swap it around the stopper.
